Installing SQL Server 2008 – Step by Step Instructions

As promised, here is a new whitepaper on Step by Step instructions on how to go about installing SQL Server 2008. This is based on CTP6 release and if the steps change in the future, we will update this whitepaper as well. In this whitepaper, we have looked at just a brand new installation of SQL Server 2008. In the future ones, we will look at other options that are presented in the SQL Server Installation Center like configuring a Failover Cluster, upgrading an existing SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005 installation to SQL Server 2008 etc.
