SP3 for SQL Server 2005

The third service pack for SQL Server 2005 should be released most likely in Q4 this year. As you know, MSFT has been releasing cumulative updates (hot fixes) at regular intervals since SP2 – so far, 7 such cumulative updates have been released. This release of SP3 will likely be after the RTM of SQL Server 2008. You can read more on the technet blog over here.
