Google buys DoubleClick

In a bidding war between Google and Microsoft over DoubleClick, Google finally bought DoubleClick for $3.1 billion. This is inline with Google’s vision of dominating the online advertising business. However, the trade pundits are questioning the purchase amount since this is just a little bit less than Google’s last quarter earnings.
